How To Draw A Television – Let’s Get Started!

Step 1draw a tv step 1

We’re going to draw some nice retro decor in this guide on how to draw a TV! For this step and the following ones, you will find it much easier if you have a ruler handy to help you draw.

With this ruler handy, you can then start drawing the rectangular outline of the TV. Instead of being a standard rectangle, however, we’ll round the corners a bit.

You can also have the corners pointed if that’s easier, but having them rounded will give it a bit more personality!

Once you’ve drawn this outline, you’re ready for step 2!

2nd step – Then draw the TV screendraw a tv step 2

You have the frame for your complete TV drawing, but it wouldn’t be much use without a screen to view your favorite shows!

For this reason we will add the screen in this step. Using your ruler again, we’ll add a square to the frame.

This is an older TV, and because of that, the screen only takes up about three-quarters of the TV, unlike most modern TVs.

This square will go on the left side of the frame, and it will also have curved corners. When you’ve drawn the screen, you’ll be ready to add more detail to the TV in step three.

Step 3 – Draw the TV buttonsdraw a tv step 3

We’re used to being able to control modern TVs with remote controls or even our smartphones, but back in the day you had to get up and change channels or volume on the TV itself!

We will draw the outline of the panel containing all the buttons in this third step of our guide on how to draw A television.

To do this, we’ll draw another rectangle shape, except this one will be thin and vertical on the right side of the set.

It will also have rounded corners like the other shapes we have drawn. Once this is drawn we can start adding some of the buttons and details in the next steps.

Step 4 – Now draw some buttons and a stand for the TVdraw a tv step 4

We mentioned buttons for the TV in the previous step of this guide, and now we’ll start adding some for this part of your TV design.

We’ll draw them in the long rectangle on the right, and you can start with two circles for the dials.

Then you can use your ruler to draw a series of smaller straight lines going under the buttons.

We’ll be adding more details to these buttons soon, so let’s move on to step 5 to complete the final touches.

Step 5 – Finish the final details and touchesdraw a tv step 5

This part of our guide on how to draw a TV will see you add all the finishing touches before you finish it off with color!

First, add a few small curved lines to the dials you drew in the previous step to see where you would grab them to adjust them.

Then you can use straight lines under the TV for the base it sits on. Maybe you could draw a TV stand around it for something extra!

Next, add a few more straight lines coming out of the top of the TV for the antenna.

Finally, we drew color bars using straight lines on the TV screen to really capture a bygone era of television! If you prefer, you can also draw something else instead.

Perhaps you could draw a still image of your favorite show to give us an idea of what you would watch on this television. We can’t wait to see how you finish this drawing for the final step!

Step 6 – Finish your TV drawing with some colordraw a tv step 6
