HAMBURGER CASSEROLE

Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1 cup frozen corn kernels
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups cooked macaroni or pasta of your choice
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional toppings: chopped parsley, sliced green onions
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until it’s browned and no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
- Add diced onions and minced garlic to the skillet with the cooked beef. Cook for about 3-5 minutes until the onions are softened.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and frozen corn kernels. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Let the mixture simmer for about 5-10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta and the beef mixture. Mix well until everything is evenly distributed.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the casserole.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 5-10 minutes until the cheese is golden brown.
- Once done, remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Optionally, garnish with chopped parsley or sliced green onions before serving.
