Ingredients:

  • 1 lb flank steak or skirt steak
  • 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for shrimp)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for steak)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup guacamole (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (such as Monterey Jack or queso Oaxaca)
  • 6 small corn tortillas (or flour tortillas if preferred)
  • Fresh lime wedges for garnish

For homemade guacamole:

  • 2 ripe avocados
