- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1/4 cup boiling water
For Brushing (Optional):
- 1 egg, lightly beaten (for brushing the pie crust)
