Directions:
- Prepare the Chicken
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a large, deep skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Sauté the Garlic
- In the same skillet, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Cook the Noodles
- Pour in the chicken broth and water. Bring to a boil, then add the egg noodles.
- Reduce the heat to medium and cook the noodles for about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are tender and most of the liquid has been absorbed.
- Combine the Dish
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese and heavy cream (if using) until well combined.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, nestling it on top of the noodles. Heat for 2-3 minutes until warmed through.
- Serve and Garnish
- Garnish with chopped parsley for a pop of color. Serve immediately and enjoy!
