Milk Bread recipe, also known as Japanese Hokkaido milk bread. It’s tender, slightly sweet, and perfect for sandwiches, toast, or enjoying on its own!
Ingredients:
- Tangzhong (Water Roux):
- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
 - ¼ cup water
 - ¼ cup milk
 
 - Dough:
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
 - 2 tbsp powdered milk (optional, for extra richness)
 - 3 tbsp sugar
 - 2 tsp instant yeast
 - ½ tsp salt
 - 1 egg, beaten
 - ½ cup warm milk
 - 3 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
 - 1 egg (for egg wash)
