For the Frosting:
- ¼ cup butter
- ¼ cup milk
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Make the brownies: In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and cocoa powder until smooth. Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Mix well. Stir in flour and salt just until combined.
- Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs (not wet batter).
- Make the frosting: In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in milk and cocoa powder. Bring just to a boil, then remove from heat. Whisk in powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth and glossy.
- Frost while warm: Pour frosting over the warm brownies and spread evenly. Let cool completely so the frosting sets.
