Herb & Cheese Quick Bread (No Yeast!)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, pepper, and herbs.
  3. Stir in shredded cheese until evenly coated.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together milk, sour cream, egg, and melted butter.
  5. Add wet ingredients to dry and stir until just combined — don’t overmix.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove and let cool completely before slicing.

  • Dipping in tomato soup
  • Toasting for a breakfast sandwich
  • Serving with a fresh salad or pasta dish
