Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
2. Arrange the cabbage wedges in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Try not to overcrowd the pan; use two baking sheets if necessary to ensure even roasting.
3. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, oregano, salt, and pepper.
4. Drizzle the butter mixture evenly over the cabbage wedges. Use a pastry brush or your hands to ensure each piece is well coated.
5. Roast for 20-25 minutes, then flip the cabbage wedges. Continue roasting for another 15-20 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender and the edges are slightly caramelized and golden brown.
6. Remove from the oven and transfer to a serving platter. Garnish with fresh parsley or chives, if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy your new favorite side dish!
Short Tips:
* Don’t discard the core! It becomes deliciously tender and sweet when roasted.
* For crispier edges, make sure your oven is fully preheated and don’t overcrowd the baking sheet.
* Experiment with different herbs! Thyme or rosemary would also be fantastic.
* Feeling a little spicy? Add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the butter mixture.
* This dish is wonderful alongside roasted chicken, fish, or pork. It even makes a surprisingly satisfying vegetarian meal on its own!
