### Instructions
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the washing soda, borax, Epsom salts, and citric acid powder. Whisk thoroughly to ensure all dry ingredients are evenly distributed.
2. Slowly add the rubbing alcohol to the dry mixture, stirring constantly. The mixture will start to clump and might fizz slightly – this is normal. Continue mixing until the consistency resembles damp sand.
3. Add your chosen essential oils and mix well. This not only adds a pleasant scent but some essential oils also have antibacterial properties.
4. Firmly press the mixture into your silicone molds. Pack them tightly to ensure they hold their shape. The tighter you pack them, the less likely they are to crumble.
5. Allow the pods to dry completely for at least 24-48 hours. For best results, let them dry in a well-ventilated area. Once fully dry, they should be hard and easily pop out of the molds.
6. Store your homemade dishwasher pods in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. Humidity can cause them to clump or dissolve prematurely.
### Short Tips
* For extra tough grease or stains, add a small splash of white vinegar to your dishwasher’s rinse aid compartment.
* If your water is particularly hard, you might need to adjust the amount of citric acid slightly or add a bit more washing soda.
* Always test a small batch first if you’re concerned about sensitive dishes or a new ingredient.
* Label your container clearly to avoid confusion with other cleaning products.
* These pods are concentrated; typically, one pod per load is sufficient.
