Okay… you all weren’t kidding about the Sally’s Baking Addiction brown butter chocolate chip cookies. I finally tried them, and WOW — they’re everything a cookie should be: rich, chewy, buttery, and with just the right crunch on the edges.
🧈 Ingredients
- 1 cup (16 Tbsp; 226g) unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
- 1 cup (200g) packed light or dark brown sugar
- 1 large egg + 1 egg yolk, at room temperature
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 and 1/2 cups (313g) all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 Tbsp (30ml) milk
- 1 and 1/2 cups (270g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
🔁 Optional Add-ins:
- Extra chocolate chips for topping
- Chopped walnuts or pecans
