One-Hour Cinnamon Rolls

It started as a craving. Not the kind you can ignore, but the kind that demands something warm, sweet, and fresh from the oven.

It was a lazy Sunday morning — no plans, no schedule, just a cozy craving for cinnamon rolls. The kind with gooey centers, golden edges, and cream cheese frosting dripping into every swirl. But I wasn’t in the mood for an overnight rise or endless waiting.

So I took a shortcut. A dough that comes together quickly, a short rest, and a fast rise while the oven heats. Sixty minutes later, I was pulling a pan of golden, cinnamon-sugar heaven out of the oven. And just like that, our weekend ritual was born. No more waiting for next-day dough. No more bakery runs. Just homemade cinnamon rolls, warm and ready before the coffee pot is empty.
