- Preheat the Oven
Set your oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup and even baking. - Make the Dough
In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and powdered sugar together until smooth and creamy — about 1–2 minutes with a hand mixer.
Gradually stir in the flour until a soft dough forms. Don’t overmix — the dough should be just combined and tender. - Shape the Cookies
- Roll the dough into small 1-inch balls and slightly flatten with your palm or a fork.
- You can also press the dough into cookie molds or slice from a dough log for more uniform rounds.
- Place the shaped cookies about 1 inch apart on your lined baking sheet.
- Bake to Perfection
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the bottoms are just starting to turn golden. These cookies should stay pale on top — no browning!
Let them cool completely on the baking sheet or a wire rack. They’ll firm up as they cool.
